Sbordone’s Azzurro collection for Gardeco Objects consists of five bronze sculptures: Saetta, Scopolo, Arco naturale, Monacone and Sirene. The ensemble is inspired by 1960s design and the island of Capri, a symbol of the Italian dolce vita. Capri is defined by the sea and natural formations, from the Faraglioni to the Arco Naturale. In awe of its beauty, Sbordone reinterprets these landscapes as sculptural objects.Layered blues, black and silver tones evoke the Mediterranean Sea, while accents of polished bronze and touches of gold add depth and radiance. Each piece is equally striking as an independent art object.

Meet the Artist

Simona Sbordone is an Italian designer, born in Naples, raised between Italy and the French Riviera, and currently based in Milan. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with renowned Italian design brands, working in interior styling, set design, decoration, and industrial design. Simona has also contributed as an editor for leading Italian design magazines. Across all disciplines, she is guided by a deep passion for art, design, architecture, fashion, aesthetics and creative expression. Her sculptural work for Gardeco Objects reflects her sophisticated eye and intuitive sense of beauty.
