POSIDONIO
Music Hall in Athens
Minas Kosmidis Architects designed the Posidonio Music Hall in Athens, a 1500 sq.m. venue on Poseidonos Avenue in Glyfada. The seaside location and name inspired a design that evokes a sense of liquidity and a virtual seabed through colors, materials, textures, and light diffusion. The facade features a perforated structure with wave and fish scale patterns in alternating colors.
Inside, the water theme continues with a rock reception area, Poseidon imagery, and a reflective ceiling creating an aqueous feel. The main space has tiered sofa seating around the stage for clear views from all angles and a bar at the back. Velvet, wood, and metal materials enhance the unique atmosphere, inviting exploration.
