Cuculia

Cuculia

Brand: Zanotta
Type: Vases & Bowls
Designer: Alessandro Mendini
Year: 1984

The Cuculia centrepiece, designed in 1985 by renowned architect and designer Alessandro Mendini, is an extraordinary example of Italian design that continues to inspire.
Originally produced by Zanotta in the 1980s, this iconic piece has recently been brought back into production as a tribute to the great master. Made of polished polyurethane, Cuculia is distinguished by its organic and sinuous shape.
The uniqueness of this centrepiece lies in its two glossy lacquer colours: one for the top and the other for the base. These colours are applied with extreme precision, creating an effect of visual continuity and harmony. The Cuculia is not only a functional object, but also a work of art that reflects Mendini’s aesthetics and ingenuity, celebrating his enduring contribution to the world of design.
